Hastings College, a nationally acclaimed liberal arts college in Hastings, Nebraska, had a lot to celebrate on a fall weekend in 2012. A carefully planned Celebration Weekend commemorated the college's 130th anniversary, the inauguration of a new president, and homecoming. That's a lot to cover in a couple of days!

Creative Layout Planning

It's also a lot to cover in a single print piece that included a schedule of events, a timeline showcasing what the college has been up to since it opened its doors in 1882, and a message from the incoming president. But IdeaBank is all about making things work.

Beautiful and Useful

The end result was a beautiful, multi-page booklet that was a feast for the eyes. Colorful photographs from current years and days gone by caught and held the eye, and a simplified layout made it easy to follow the weekend's nonstop agenda. We even squeezed in a campus map to help alumni and visitors get where they were going.
