Wouldn't it be great if you could sell to 100% of the people who visit your website? Obviously, that's a lofty goal but do you know how many visitors you are converting into customers? Sure, it's important to drive people to your website but once they're there, do you capture their information for future communication?

Develop Lead Forms throughout your Site

Many sites have generic contact forms. But those don't engage the customer and entice them to share their contact information. If you want your website to become a lead generation hero, you need to offer something in exchange for a customer's contact information.

Offer Something of Value

Think about the type of information that will help them in the buying process. Offer a video, a white paper, a help guide, a free webinar, or a coupon in exchange for their information. People don't mind giving up their name and email address for something that's valuable. But remember, include only the minimum information on the form: first name, last name, email. They're not going to divulge their life story for a coupon. Keep it short and sweet.

Nurture over Time

Nurture your prospect with information over time. Create a series of emails that continue to share nuggets of information they need to make a well-informed buying decision. If you've captured a mailing address, a series of postcards could prove to be and effective nurturing tool. It's important to "help" and not sell. Nurture them until they are ready to buy.
