The website IdeaBank created for South Sioux City Community School is not only easy for the staff to maintain, but sorts and organizes information in a manner that makes it easy to find. The new design features a consistent look throughout the entire site, unifying all schools under one shared umbrella while allowing individual pages for each school and department. Notable functions include an alert ticker, calendar, a dynamic homepage that showcases events, lunch menus, and news, an employment application form, links to PowerSchool and Granicus, and so much more. Multiple translations and a weather module further expand communications.

2015 Update: Mobile Optimization

In 2015, the website received a facelift to incorporate new features and make it mobile-friendly. We started with a completely new design that was coded to be responsive. This entailed creating designs that respond to different screen sizes, and developing “finger-friendly” design patterns for tablet and smartphone users.

School Site Features

Our food menu component allows parents and students to view the breakfast and lunch menus on the homepage. They can even print out the full month’s menu and manage their lunch accounts online. The backend management system makes it easy for the staff to post regular updates. This is a standard feature of all IdeaBank School site in addition to other features like events, news, resource links and more. We also have a system to present each school, and each teacher page unique while unified under one umbrella.
