Sheryl Ismaiel keeps IdeaBank running smoothly behind the scenes as finance manager and HR coordinator. Whether she’s balancing budgets, managing payroll, or navigating policies and procedures, Sheryl brings focus, precision, and a deep sense of responsibility to her work. She’s the quiet engine powering the agency’s day-to-day operations.

Originally from Kansas, Sheryl moved to Hastings as a child and later spent several years on the East Coast before returning in 2014. With years of accounting and administrative experience, she’s not afraid to dive into a new challenge, learn something unfamiliar, or tackle a to-do list with quiet efficiency. When she sees something that needs doing, she gets it done—no fanfare required.

Outside of work, Sheryl finds joy in music, history, and travel. She’s a fan of comedic movies and often quotes favorite scenes with impeccable timing. Her happy place includes the Smithsonian, Shenandoah National Park, and the caverns of Virginia—and one day, she hopes to explore the pyramids of Egypt and temples of Greece. At home, she shares life with a very spoiled Great Pyrenees named Xena and two cats, Phoenix and Waffles.
