A Christmas Story
A great marketing piece attracts attention, and that's what happened when IdeaBank was honored with the Prism Award from the Lincoln AMA for our Christmas card featuring our staff in an entertaining spoof on the movie classic "Christmas Story." The booklet format kept the card in our clients' hands as long as possible, with engaging illustrations and text written in rhyme tie each of the iconic scenes to a lesson learned at Idea Bank over the last 25 years. Positive comments poured in from everywhere as the card reached our audience; exceeding our very high expectations!
Building on the classics
We chose an iconic Norman Rockwell image to launch another attention-grabbing Christmas card. After 10 minutes of playing nice for the patient photographer, however, things turned chaotic, and our family of right-brained thinkers couldn’t resist doing what we do best – drumming up delectable marketing solutions for our beloved clients. Variable data added a personalized touch that caused the card to rise above the stack of standard holiday mailings. Pass the accolades, please.
Making it Personal
This Christmas card demonstrated how skillful use of variable data can grab and hold attention. The card showcased owners Ann and Sherma as jolly elf and thorough assistant in deep discussion over Santa’s “naughty” and “nice” lists. Each card was personalized with the recipient’s name, which appeared in three different places throughout the card. Inside featured a colorful explosion of IdeaBank’s elf-costumed employees as comedic list attendants. The cards enjoyed immediate and plentiful response, as recipients were impressed with the care taken to send a personalized message during an exceptionally busy time of year.
Crazy Christmas "Sweaters"
IdeaBank continued its legacy of crazy Christmas cards with a booklet featuring the crew dressed in their "finest" holiday sweaters. Interesting graphics, photography and text keep the pages turning to a surprise ending that showcased a perspiring, mall-weary Santa. A fold-over flap allowed us to send a Christmas music CD, as well.
A Holiday Slam Dunk
This Christmas card was a slam dunk, with specialty IdeaBank cookies included with our cookie card, and a video treat to spread our Christmas spirit online (and allow Ann to showcase her acting abilities).
