Web developer. Photographer. Drummer. Blogger. Fan of alternative rock and professional wrestling. All these words describe Brian Nguyen, but perhaps the best is lifelong learner.
“I love learning stuff every day,” he said, citing wrestler Fred Rosser, who’s known as Mr. No Days Off because he’s always doing something to improve himself. Brian likes learning new skills that will help the IdeaBank team turn website concepts into finished products. “I don’t just write code,” he said. “I create solutions and transform them into digital realities.”
Brian grew up in Huntington Beach, Calif.; earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from California State University, Long Beach; and graduated from BloomTech’s Full Stack Web Development Program. As a kid, he developed a fascination with professional wrestling and calls “All Elite Wrestling” his favorite show. A fan of the band Linkin Park, he attended their concert at the Hollywood Bowl and appears in a video that’s had more than 23 million YouTube views.
He's passionate about video games and enjoys photography, cinematography and documenting his life on his personal website. While his skills include a long list of programming languages and tools, he never forgets the people behind every website and the need to provide the best possible user experience. “That’s an area I’m passionate about,” he said.
