Many people think of golf as a leisure activity, but Peyton Traudt knows the links hold many lessons about business — and life. The longtime golfer says golf teaches mental toughness, confidence, strategy and time management. You must think of the hole in front of you but also the rest of the course.
She applies those skills every day at IdeaBank, concentrating on the needs of individual clients while also managing the flow of various jobs and supporting account executives. Peyton graduated from Northwest High School in Grand Island and earned business degrees from Central Community College-Grand Island and Bellevue University.
While she spent much of her growing up on the golf course at Clay Center, she also learned a lot in the family’s ag operation there, which includes corn, soybeans and an 8,400-head hog confinement. Whether walking the pens or shipping out hogs, every day was different and required teamwork and flexibility, much like her role at IdeaBank. As the daughter of two entrepreneurs, she understands the demands clients face and is prepared to meet them.
Definitely a country girl, Peyton thinks big cities are better places to visit than live. She loves travel and being outdoors. Her favorite destination so far has been Hawaii, and she has Europe on her travel wish list.
